Psychology student by day; artist, writer & devoted collector of music by night; striving for a simpler existence through minimalism!

Hello, I’m Rose. I am an artist, writer, psychology student and follower of Jesus. I am studying psychology at University and am particularly interested in behavioural neuroscience.

I love exploring the world through art, finding inspiration in both the mundane and the extraordinary and in the highs and lows of life. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and have since used the condition as an opportunity to explore my creativity further. I use meditation as a tool to help focus and minimalism to stay (mostly) organised.

I love Vietnamese food (especially cơm tấm!), woodworking, and appreciating nature at dusk. This is my favourite time of day — not only because of the beautiful colours created by the setting sun but also because it’s a reminder that there is much beauty in darkness as there is in the light.

I strive to pursue joy in every moment, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem (and even when I don’t feel like there is any to be found), and while I don’t do this perfectly all of the time, there is plenty of credible research that it is a more fruitful mindset than the opposite. I firmly believe that while life can be unpredictable, there is still much to be thankful for. I believe in embracing your true self – flaws and all.
